Federal court rules on nonviolent misdemeanor crimes and firearms rights

The Third Circuit of the Court of Appeals ruled that nonviolent misdemeanor crimes cannot strip firearms rights. In two cases, Binderup v. the U.S. Attorney General and Suarez v. the U.S. Attorney General, 11 judge panel ruled that non-violent misdemeanors cannot be the reason to ban someone from having guns.
