Smith & Wesson wins Beligum Federal Police contract

S&W won Belgium Federal Police contract of 20,000 M&P9 pistols for next 10 years. The Beligum agency already received 2,500 pistols.

The contract pistols have additional features like luminescent sights, a manual thumb safety, and a loaded chamber indicator on top of the slide that allows feel of finger to verify if the gun is loaded.

This probably mean more difficulty in finding M&P series in the States as they have been gaining popularity for some time. They already won ATF contract worth $40 million dollars along with Glock.
