Old Olympic shooting games included...

Modern Olympic shooting games use airguns or .22lr caliber, but in the old days, there were a lot more interesting.

1. Pigeon shooting - not using clay pigeons, but the real pigeons.

2. Dueling - using wax bullets and some safety guards. Some photos are available from The Firearm Blog

3. Military caliber shootings - using military caliber pistols and rifles. Rifles were up to 600m, but due to different nations's firearm law, this became harder to field.
