SIg Ammo review

SIG Sauer is getting in to ammunition business and Lucky Gunner did some review of the product. Surprisingly almost all calibers except .45 acp did not show any comparable or outstanding performance compared to current market offerings. .40 S&W did ok, passing 12-inch standard, but 9mm and .380 acp lacked penetration.

But all offerings were reliable and accurate.

You can read more about it from their website including some details

Leland Yee arrested for gun trafficking related bribery charge

California State Senator Leland Yee was arrested Wednesday morning by the FBI. Yee is known for anti-2A laws in California such as 'Bullet-button' law.

This arrest stems from bribes he received for his campaign fund in exchange for attempts to assist in import of illegal weapons from foreign countries.

According to the affidavit, Yee was actively helping undercover employee of FBI connect with an international arms dealer to bring illegal firearms in to the US. Yee was fully aware of the legality surounding such act and even asked for a cut in arms sales as well as saying the transaction has to be made after he becomes the Secretary of the State. He was fully aware of the origin of such firearms, so far as to say that they are from MILF(Moro Islamic Liberation Front) who are waging war against Phillipine government.

Yee is currently out on $500,000 unsecured bail and is expected to plead not guilty.

Remington R51 Problems

Military Arms Channel is reporting some problems with Remington R51 sent to one of his gunshop. The video is quite interesting. Remington did not have a sample at the Media Day and withdrew by lunch time. The sameples at the SHOT show didn't seem to have this problem but it could be that first production batches need some work done. However it doesn't excuse the problems seen in video.

The dangerous drawstring adjuster

Jacket drawstring adjuster and accidental discharge has been known for years and chief of Connersville, IN police is the latest victim. The news is a bit exaggerating but it is something to think about.

A lot of jackets have such adjusters and unless you are really using them it is a good idea to just cut them out. The strings can be attached together by other means. If not, you can use a duct tape but it probably won't survive fashion police's scrutiny.

The best way would be to clear your garment away from holster as much as possible. No one won shooting by doing the fastest reholstering.

Battlefield Vegas is one of those relative new comers. Located behind Circus Circus, it is a bit off the Strip, but has been building its business steadily since it opened.
